Another day of sleeping in until 7:30 AM. The dogs had their breakfast and I returned to my bed with three books I intended to read but at 10:15 AM, I awoke from a nap that must have been needed, still on the first page of the book I had begun reading.
After yesterday’s brief excursion to The National Museum of the United States Air Force, The Wright Brothers’ Memorial, Huffman Prairie Flying Field, and a nice lunch, I was back home by 1:30 PM. I love these types of excursions where I can hit several points and still have a bulk of my day remaining to be filled.
The remainder of Thursday was spent reading and researching from the deck. I made a huge pot of soup and spent nearly two hours on a Zoom chat with my Lincoln friends, Valerie and Rose. Rose’s husband was recently deployed and I believed it would be good for all of us to reconvene on a usual Zoom chat as it had been several months.
Just as the afternoon climbs on board, Laura and I will go see the new comedy, SEE HOW THEY RUN. The minute I saw the trailer at Neon Movies, I was taken with the movie.
I’ve not decided if the evening hours will hold any activities. It is homecoming games for Fairmont and Centerville high schools and I am betting the traffic will be on the heavier side around the neighborhood. Tomorrow, I should probably mow the yard before heading off to LaComedia with friends to see a former student, Marisha Osowski, in DO PATENT LEATHER SHOES REALLY REFLECT UP? I have never seen this show so I am looking forward to seeing it, but mostly seeing Marisha, and spending time with her parents, Lori and Frank.
So, time to actually get some items tackled before going to see the movie.
Make it a great day!
