Yes.
I actually have theatre-fatigue.
I slept well after seeing last night’s production, THE MAGIC FIRE, at Wright State University. However, today, I crammed in two productions – Centerville High School’s ALL MY SONS, and then the Schuster Center’s Broadway Series, SISTER ACT.
After ALL MY SONS, I hurried home to potty and feed the dogs, then joined Jacob Nickel, and his dad, Rob, at Marion’s Pizza in Oakwood. I had a blast! Rob, retired from the US Navy, lived for a while in Virginia Beach while stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. And, he has an incredible passion for history, mainly Civil War era! Woo hoo! It was definitely great spending time with Rob and Jacob.
SISTER ACT was an absolute hoot!
We were nestled in good audience company – fun company, I should say. The show is invigorating, and tons of fun. Good, vibrant music, and clever lyrics that had me cracking up.
After the performance, the Mathile Theater was opened up for a post-show, pre-Super Bowl Party with members of the cast. It was fun seeing the cast members sharing their post-performance habits (there was alcohol involved).
What a fun two days of theatre… but tiring.
