It’s Thursday night, and the teaching week is almost over. Tomorrow, I will have eight students, finishing by 4:45 PM.
Immediately after teaching I will hurry to Men’s Warehouse to pick up my tuxedo, and then on to Beavercreek High School where I will judge middle school show choirs the remainder of the evening.
I am excited because one of my college roommates, Micah Thomas, will be coming to the competition with his daughter’s middle school. Micah is the principal of South Dearborn High School in Aurora, Indiana. This will be our first time to see one another in nearly 25 years. I am so excited.
I will return home around midnight, and be back at the school by 9:00 AM for more judging. By 7:00 PM I will take the stage for the evening finals, serving as the MC. Last year, I returned home by 2:00 AM.
A long, tiresome weekend, but always one of my favorite weekends. It will be the longest time away from the pups.
