MY DAY: Good deeds or Good, Deeds?

Well, this is the big news… we have a new member in The Haasienda.

For a number of months, I’ve been considering adding to the crew. This coming year, I will have aged dogs of 14, 13, 10, and 10.

A former student, Rebecca Hoskins Grubb, announced she and her husband, Shane, had rescued two male pups who are, today, thirteen weeks old. They are the same mix as Chief, Staffordshire terrier and lab.

Rebecca was a student when we lost Chief’s sister, Navi, in 2013 and like so many other students, greeted Bailey and Harrigan a few days later. It’s kind of fitting that Becca is a part of this merger. And, Becca and her husband are also expanding their family with a baby girl in a few weeks.

So, please join me in welcoming Deeds to our family.

Deeds is named in honor of Edward & Edith Deeds, legendary Daytonians who packed a historical punch with their many contributions, most notably, Carillon Historical Park.

So far, the union has been lots of sniffing and tail wags. Chief wagged his tail a lot, and Erma can’t stop loving on him. In fact, Chief has been smiling a good deal. The Sisters? Bailey is always in wiggle-fest mode so it’s difficult to rate her appraisal. Harrigan is unsure. But, Harrigan is always a tough sell.

Thank you, ReBecca and Shane!!!

The adventure has begun!
