MY DAY: Vague Facebook posts… Super Bowl vs Downton Abbey

“This day sucks!”  A somewhat typical, vague post on Facebook.

Within minutes, the drama-folks are begging for information.

An evening of vague Facebook posts is about to begin.  I always crack up at the vague comments posted during televised sporting events.  Since I seldom know what is happening in the Wide World of Sports, I am initially puzzled by some comments I see.  Then, after several more friends post more items, I grasp the fact there is a game.

And, tonight is Super Bowl Sunday!

I will teach until 8:00 PM, and settle down to DOWNTON ABBEY.

My fellow Downtoners seldom post random, vague things while watching an episode.  Sometimes, I think it would be a hoot for those to begin popping up.

“I can’t believe she just said that… wait!  Yes, I can.”  (referring to any comment by Maggie Smith)

“Go easy on Mary!”  (addressed to Mr. Carson as he admonishes Lady Mary for giving up on life after her husband’s tragic death)

“Git ‘er!  Don’t let her try to take you down!”  (encouraging Isobel Crawley to not let Violet Crawley get the best of her)

“When’s Shirley coming back?”  (wanting Shirley MacLaine to return to a few episodes to spice things up)

“Oh, don’t be so stuffy!”  (always referring to Lord Grantham)

“Witch!”  (either a comment directed at Edith, or lady’s maid, O’Brien)

“Don’t drop the soap!”  (aimed at any young, good looking male guest who does not know underbutler Thomas Barrow is lurking in the shadows)

“Oh, why did she have to die?”  (Sniff… Poor Sybil…)

Tonight will be interesting.  Some vague-posts will be amusing, I am certain!
