MAKE IT A GREAT DAY: Sweepers & Schuster

I thought my Walmart delivery, which included a new vacuum sweeper, would be on my porch by 2 PM. Instead, it was delayed by over an hour and there was no vacuum. They reported it would be shipped from another store and arrive by 10 PM. When I prepared for bed at 11:15 PM, there was still no sweeper, and I was too tired to investigate the matter. At 6:30 AM, there was still no sweeper and after searching for what should have been readily available information, I discovered the sweeper shipment is delayed. I am not pleased.

Last evening’s crew of students was on the mark with their preparedness and a lot of headway was made with each session. It was invigorating.

Sleep came easy and with only two interruptions for bathroom breaks. Waking was more manageable this morning than the past several mornings, but I was still inclined to wish for a few more hours of rest.

Tuesday night, I will be house managing at The Schuster Center for the Miami Valley High School Theatre (MVHSTA) awards. One student, Patrick Comunale, a recent Centerville High School graduate and off to study acting at The Cincinnati Conservatory of the Music, will perform as one of the two winners of the Jimmy Awards. Several others from Centerville, Springboro, and Fairmont will solo in their school’s musical theatre presentation. I am proud of these young adults for all they have accomplished and what they continue to offer the world of performing arts.

It’s time to get my day moving so I can make it a great day!
