MAKE IT A GREAT DAY: A cold Monday

Round One of an incredibly busy, hectic several days has finally shifted to less compact for a few days until Friday returns with Round Two. Although I was teaching on Sunday from 3 PM – 11 PM, the pooches were content that I was home for more than feeding, petting them, and out the door.

And the weather… sigh. “Isn’t it beautiful weather we’re not having?” It’s 37 degrees, now at 6:30 AM and it shall only climb another ten degrees by late afternoon. The next week is filled with much rain and temperatures in the fifties and low sixties. May 6th, we may finally see temperatures in the low seventies.

“In cold spring air”

Reginald Gibbons

In cold
spring air the
white wisp-
visible
breath of
a blackbird
singing—
we don’t know
to un-
wrap these blind-
folds we
keep thinking
we are
seeing through

A beautiful, historic home in West Dayton, The Traxler Mansion, burned yesterday. I had passed it several times throughout my thirty-two years living here in Dayton, and always thought it an exquisite piece of architecture.

The day is nudging me to move on to prepping for my morning.

Make it a great day!
