MAKE IT A GREAT DAY: Thursday adventures

I don’t think a more beautiful morning could’ve been requested. While it is a bit hazy, the sun has an extraordinary glow and warmth.

I allowed myself to sleep in until 7:30 AM. The four dogs did not seem Disrupted by my departure from what is typically a strict schedule of feeding them at 7 AM.

Wednesday evening I received my newest Covid booster vaccine as well as my flu shot. I opted to have both injections in my left arm. This morning there’s just a bit of tenderness in the muscle but nothing more that I can observe.

I returned to my bed until 8:30 AM, half napping and half listening to the previous days events for queen Elizabeth’s funeral agenda. Joshua and David witnessed the queens remains being returned to Buckingham palace on Tuesday evening, and they got to observe the procession from Buckingham palace to Westminster Hall, followed by the Queens for children and grandsons. It was all quite impressive.

The past few days I learned a number of our Carillon Historical Park Guests had visited the local aviation history sites.

MmIn a quick decision and with dizzying preparation, I pulled myself together to leave the house at 10 AM to head out to The National Museum of The United States Air Force and Huffman Prairie where the Wright Brothers conducted their local flying experiments beginning in 1904 after their triumphant 1903 flights at Kitty Hawk. I’ve not been to the Air Force Museum since 2016.

Make it a great day!
