Joanne Rogers, 93, wife of Mister Fred Rogers, passed away, today.

It was sad when, Mister Rogers, one of the world’s greatest inspirations as cheerleaders passed away in 2003.

I’m reading responses to the passing of Mrs. Rogers saying, “We really need Fred and Joanne Rogers, today.”

Perhaps.

What we really need is for ourselves to step up to the plate on The Neighborhood’s ball diamond to demonstrate just how the Rogers were fantastic coaches. They modeled, taught, and coached us well.

We. Can. Do. This.

It’s our Neighborhood, now. Let’s make Fred & Joanne proud of us.
