MY DAY: A cold week

DSC05604The past several weeks have yielded some interesting weather for the Miami Valley.  A lot of snow, and some tremendously cold days.  This morning, area thermometers read between -13 and -8.

I’ve made a lot of chicken vegetable soup over the past several weeks, as well as a Paula Dean recipe for chicken pot pie, which, in my opinion, was absolutely wonderful.

Today, as with several days last week, I am on an altered schedule.  Today’s lessons will be between 1:30 PM – 6:00 PM.  Five students took their lessons Monday evening.

At 6:00 PM I will head to Beavercreek High School for a heavy duty vocal rehearsal with the show choir.  I always enjoy working with this ensemble.

Today, I’ve worked from my desk while the dogs, who generally sleep here in my study as I work, decided to snuggle together in the guest bedroom.  Since Navi’s death last December, Chief no longer sleeps on the bed by the door to the deck.  He’ll sleep on the floor, but does not nap in the old location he use to share with his sister.

I attempted to take a “one month later” photo of the girls, and my self.  Not easy.  I set the timer, and held them as long as I could.  After a few seconds, they were squirming, and wanting down.

Stay warm, everyone!
