MAKE IT A GREAT DAY: Wednesday happenings around The Haasienda

Actually, there’s not been much activity from me this fine day, but the pooches have been quite playful and energetic. The Colonel even engaged the not so mobile Chief in a good deal of play. It’s great to see The Old Boy, who battles hip issues, pretending to be a few years younger. Now, they’re all spread out around the deck with Col. Deeds right by Chief’s side.

I read a newly acquired book on The 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair while keeping a castor oil pack and heating pad on my left shoulder that I injured last winter while lifting some heavy boxes. I’ve been relaxing to various documentaries and enjoying the antics provided by The FabFive.

Lunch was on the deck and now I am resting, again, enjoying this non-rainy day. The darker morning seemed to threaten rain at any moment but it has cleared, leaving us with a sunny, yet overcast sky. It is quite comfortable on the deck.

I plan to work on my project’s outline while enjoying time outside until it’s time for my regular Wednesday dinner with Laura and Mama Kay. I am sure I will give in to a nap during that process.

The cardinals and several other chatty birds are loud, but I’m glad they’re piping along. A nice breeze, tuneful birds, the whir of traffic on the Shroyer Road side of The Haasienda make for a beautiful day.

Make it a great day!
