MIAGD: Make it a great day
I was so excited to vote in my first mid-term election in 1982 and my first general election in 1984.
Thirty-six years later I was just as thrilled as I was each time I utilized my right as a United States’ citizen.
I voted absentee and since I didn’t feel comfortable being out in public, a student dropped off my ballot at the Montgomery County board of elections. I appreciate Ian doing this for me.

I’ve always felt the General Election and the presidential inauguration should be National holidays. They’re just as important as July 4th and they tend to go hand in hand.
Tomorrow, I’ll be teaching my two morning classes and then afternoon and evening lessons, anxiously awaiting the incoming results.
Make it a great day and go vote!
